It’s time for the 2026 edition of Nick’s World Famous Hockey Pool. The pool is designed for fans of all levels to get in on the action. Here is a quick outline for everything you need to know to participate.

Entry deadline is April 18th, 2026 at 12pm or the first puck drops.
It’s free to build a team or multiple teams and check it out (great if it’s your first time playing) - but if you want to win, $25 payment per team needs to be in BEFORE the deadline.

How to Play

1. BUILD A TEAM (CLICK HERE) (It’s easy and free to check out)

The template will update before April 18th - the season finishes on April 16, 2026. You may have to revise your picks before then.
It’s completely free (and easy) to build a team see how it works. However, if you want to win, payment has to be in BEFORE noon or the first puck drops on April 18, 2026.
You can build multiple teams if you want.

Prizes

1st PLACE: Pool Balance

2nd PLACE: $50 (Double your money)

FIRST TEAM OUT: Stanley Cup (The Quencher H2.0 Flowstate™ Tumbler, 40oz, Azure / Blue)

1st & 2nd Place: All equal points totals will get settled by coin flip. In the event that 1st place has an equal points total, the loser of the coin toss will be the 2nd place winner.

FIRST TEAM OUT: In the event that 2 teams exit at the same time, the team with less points is the winner, and if points are equal, a coin toss breaks the tie.

Pool Balance is less all other prize amount and processing and admin fees Officepools and Square.

Coin tosses will be performed and announced by the league commissioner in private - they will not be video taped, posted, shared in anyway - and based entirely on the honour system.

And in case it’s not entirely clear - Nick Horning is the commissioner.
